Cost of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance (COA) is a standardized set of cost allocations used as a basis for determining maximum aid eligibility for medical students at JABSOM.

  • Tuition payments are typically due in mid-August for Fall, and mid-January for Spring.

Student Budget Details

These estimated Cost of Attendance budgets are used to assist students in planning ahead for matriculation at JABSOM.  The amounts listed are not the upfront direct cost that students need to pay to JABSOM.  Items such as Meals and Housing, Personal Expenses, Books and Supplies, and Transportation are ESTIMATES of the costs that a student might incur.  Tuition and Fees are the only costs paid directly to JABSOM.

Per Federal regulations, a student’s financial aid (grants and loans) and scholarships/resources cannot exceed the Cost of Attendance.
